The Sweetness of Doing Nothing

IMG_1879

I challenge you to take a break today from all the noise and quiet your mind for one minute.

It always amazes me how incredibly hard this is to do. My mind is constantly moving 100 miles a minute, either planning for the future or reminiscing on the past. My focus needs to be on the present moment. Try to focus on nothing but the now, and you will see how hard it is to let go of "time."

  14. Such a great reminder, Marcie. I try to do this and in a matter of SECONDS I'm thinking about errands I need to run, what to have for dinner, who's going to win American Idol, etc. You know, all the important stuff. Haha. I hope you have a great long weekend!!! I'm so excited to have Monday off and I'm hoping to do a lot of relaxing. :)

  19. I love it. Once you practice you will be amazed when you can get to 5 minutes and then even longer. It is wonderful and really makes you realize how much stuff swirls in the brain constantly.

    Great post!
