The Mission
Since I went to college and got married here, I can confirm Oprah got this exactly right. San Luis Obispo, California is the happiest city in America. This picturesque town is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and wine country. If you live in California, it is the perfect weekend getaway since it is easily accessible from Northern or Southern California. Here are a few of my SLO favorites.

Oh, you are SO right about SLO being a perfect little getaway town. When we lived in CA, my girlfriends and I would sometimes do road trips to visit some of our friends who attended Cal Poly.
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I miss about CA; being able to hop in your car, drive a few hours and be somewhere totally different; the beach, the snow, wine country, wherever. SOB!
That sounds like the perfect place for a little vacation!
ReplyDeleteNow on my holiday list. As i live in Europe I can't just pop over; it will have to be part of a bigger holiday. Love the farmers markets (which we had them here in Spain).
