Seven Simples

{Shells from Port Douglas, Australia and a vintage glass float}

It was so cold this weekend, I only ventured outdoors for a dinner and yoga class. With my camera in hand, I snapped these simple objects around our apartment. It is fun to admire the small collectibles that really add character and the practicals I can't live without. These items aren't expensive or outrageous; it is their simplicity that makes me happy. Currently, I am collecting small glass floats. I hope to eventually fill a crystal bowl or vase with these seagreen jewels.

{Bright mini polish and a brand new tube of mascara}

{Bottled Coke with real cane sugar}

{See's Candies Rum Nougat}

{Cotton blanket}

{The yoga mat that is changing my posture, one stretch at a time}

{Already on my third read}

  5. Greqt post! I love the idea! And Emily Giffin's books are so good! I've read them all. They're easy-reads! I've recently discovered Lauren Weisberger. I'm on my second book? Do you have other authors to recommend? Jolene :)

  9. That sounds like a great weekend! How did you like the lululemon class?? I thought it was great and am still amazed that they offer a weekly free class. But I'm sure they make up for it in the "after class sales". I love your pictures, as usual. I seriously need to take a photography class sometime soon. How is that curling mascara? Does it really curl? I'm always using an eyelash curler but would love to skip that step.
