Food Friday: Eat Real Food

California Couscous

I was introduced to the amazing food blog Eat Real Food by my college friend. The author Jess is a Los Angeles based health and nutrition coach. She approaches a healthy lifestyle by believing that no one diet is for everyone and gradual changes in lifestyle lead to sustained happiness. Makes sense, right? Her food philosophy is California style, farmers market driven, organic food with a gourmet touch. How awesome does that sound? Jess describes her style as a marriage between sophisticated palates and beautiful healthy ingredients. Put it together and you get healthy food you actually want to eat! Need I say more?

Please check out this amazing blog for some healthy and delicious recipes!

  2. Oh wow. These look fantastic...especially the butternut squash salad - I could never come up with that idea on my own!

I'm off to check out that website and see if it sparks any flames of inspiration. I'm trying really hard to be more creative in the kitchen, but some nights are total FAILS. Like tonight. We had bowls of cereal for dinner. Frosted Mini Wheats, baby...! ;)

  10. I love this concept and your pictures look amazing. I'm going over the check out her blog now. Thank you for your sweet comment about my hair. I really don't do much with it. I go back and forth between using cheap Target shampoo/conditioner and using salon stuff. Right now I'm using Tigi Bed Head Moisture Maniac, which I've loved for years. Besides that I just put a little mousse in it (right now I'm using a cheap garnier fructise mousse) then I blow dry it with a big round brush. Lately I've been letting it air dry sometimes so it can have a break from the blow dryer.

    Have a great weekend, Marcie!

  11. Thank you for the link to this great blog! Like many people, I am trying to eat more "whole". Having great recipes for healthy, wholesome meals helps tremendously. There are only so many mixed green salads that one can eat before getting totally bored.

That couscous salad may have to make an appearance in my kitchen this weekend. It looks mouthwatering.

P.S. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog yesterday...and for following. I truly appreciate it and just adore your blog!
