Attention sun worshipers, beware of
Melasma. I was your typical teenager that ignored my mom's skin saving advice about staying out of the sun, and wouldn't you know she was right! Enter dark discoloration spots on my face. Horrified, I visited my dermatologist and she put me on the
Obagi system 8 week treatment. After a few weeks of looking like a burn victim (red and peeling skin), newer and soften skin emerged. I've never felt better about my complexion. The dark spots are gone, and my skin is completely renewed.
What skin saving rules do you live by?
Wow! Gorgeous skin, Marcie! I'm addicted to skincare so I'll definitely be looking into this system!
ReplyDeleteYou already know what my weapon of choice is - alba papaya enzyme mask (and sunscreen of course!) ♥
your skin looks great! i'm glad it worked :) i'm finally staying out of the sun after years of burning every summer and tanning in tanning beds... i'm so so pale now, but i already feel healthier!
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteI don't use tanning beds, and I always try to put on sunscreen when I know I'll be in the sun, BUT I also have a face moisturizer with sunscreen built right in! :)

Okay this is very interesting, given that not only was I the teenager who ignored sun warnings, but I STILL ignore them! I am such a sun bunny and I hate sunscreen (it feels like slathering grease on my body) but I have already developed little spots of discoloration. Your skin is encouraging cause it's PERFECT. I suspect that treatment you used is super expensive but I'm gonna look into it cause it would be so nice not to have to wear any sort of foundation to even out my skin tone!
ReplyDeletelovely x hivennn.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful:) I have a very sensitive skin so I only used la posay roche stuff. Your skin looks amazing, darling
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday

ReplyDeletenow why didn't you post those burn victim pictures? I still have them if you have lost them? :-)
ReplyDeleteyikes! I have some dark spots too from sun damage that are just starting to lighten (in using Cliniques skin tone corrector)

Your skin is flawless and beautiful!! I'm so jealous Marcie!!!! Is that stuff just for dark spots or will it work for any skin?
ReplyDeleteI've been using Differin lately and I like it but it makes me skin burn! I'm wanting to try something different.
This stuff sounds amazing and your skin looks absolutely flawless, Marcie! I might need to try this. Thanks for the info!

Oh my goodness, I JUST went to the dermatologist too and they had this exact product there. They were trying to sell me Cleanzaderm but for $160, I didn't have the guts to take the plunge. Your skin, however, looks phenom. You go girl :) xo

I've never used it, but I've heard mostly good things. I don't think it's for everyone though. I know some people who had bad reactions because they had such super sensitive skin.
