The Beauty of Winter

Living in California, I don't really know what winter feels like. This weekend, however, I felt it first hand in DC. Bundled in tights, down jackets and mittens, Jimmy and I visited our nation's historic center. We saw everything including the National Christmas Tree (more on this tomorrow), the White House and our breath. What most surprised me was how beautiful 20 degree weather is. I almost (emphasis on almost) wish winter was like this at home. It really felt like Christmas was on its way.

  6. My bf just moved after living in DC for a year. I was semi bi-coastal, flying in once a month for visits. I really love that city, but being from Boston, I definitely appreciate the winters living in LA much better!!

  7. How exciting that you and Jimmy went to DC for the weekend! Your pictures look beautiful. I agree that the cold weather makes it feel like Christmas and if DC was anything like Chicago, it was super festive/freezing. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

  8. Your photos are beautiful :)

I went to DC for the first time a few months ago & absolutely loved it! (it was actually my second time but the first time was in the summer and it was 110 degrees, needless to say that visit lasted less than an hour)
