Keep It Simple

My husband caught my attention the other night when he was reading "ways to make life simple". I immediately became intrigued, and here are my favorites. These are perfect for reflecting on the upcoming holiday season and new year.
  1. Live below your means. Don't buy stuff you don't need, and always sleep on big purchases.

2. Get off your high horse, talk it out, hug and move on.
3. Make mistakes, learn from then, laugh about them, then move on.

4. Get rid of stuff you don't use.
5. Don't try to please everyone. Just do what you know is right.
6. Fill your car with gas on your way home, not in the morning when you are late.

7. If you hate doing it, stop it.
8. Spend time with like minded people who are smart and driven.
9. Drink water when you are thirsty.

10. Find hard work you actually enjoy doing and do it in a pretty space!

  2. I just love this, all so true....sometimes we make life so complicated.

  3. Hi Marcie - I am right there with you on this. I often try to work out why life feels so complicated. I have really taken on board the concept of being with people who make me happy. I think those who don't know me would think I border on being antisocial but I am just really selective about my friends and if I get a vibe from someone, I leave them to it. Trying hard to declutter, destress, just generally edit stuff so that life runs smoothly. Great post and pretty pictures as ever. Lou x

  4. This post comes as such a beautiful reminder of what is important in life! thank you - so fantastic!

  5. Perfectness! Isn't it funny how most of life's simplicities have to do with moving on? (i.e. acceptance + surrender). I'm off to drink more water now!

  6. What great notes! Love this post Marcie!

  7. So true about the first one "live below your means" I know someone who is in debt but seems to have a spending addiction and just pretending to be living the luxurious life. I feel bad for her.
