A Special Sender

My birthday is still a few weeks away, but I got a note in the mail from my favorite author Emily Giffin (see my post here) today. When I first saw the beautiful teal envelope I was excited, but nothing prepared me for this special sender. Can I tell you I almost had a heart attack on the spot. I can already tell 30 is going to be great. Thank you so much Jimmy for emailing Emily and asking for this! And thank you Emily for being so accessible and kind.

When was the last time you made someone's day with a handwritten note? I am getting out my special stationary today.

  2. Oh my goodness, that is so exciting!!! So happy for you and yes, 30 is wonderful...I'm enjoying it so far! :)

I have to say I still to this day write hand written thank you notes and just because letters and cards to my family and friends all the time...my mother instilled this, and the importance of it, in us when we were young, and she still writes the best letters of all!

  3. How sweet! Handwritten notes are so special! E-mails are nice too, but it's especially nice when someone takes the time to actually "write" you a note!

  11. That's so lovely! I hardly ever get handwritten notes anymore... no more than five a year, I'd say. I'm going to start writing again! Love the colour of the paper, too.

  21. There really is something about getting a hand written note!! So old school and right on.

Since you are in California like me, I would love to do a guest post or collaborate with you somehow on blogs and store?

Let me know what you think. XXXX Emily

  24. What a sweet husband and such a special bday note! I love hand written letters, so much more than e-anything! I keep a stack of my favorite letters tied with a pretty ribbon. Every now and then, it's fun to read them again, and relive old times. When do we ever do that with emails or texts??

My birthday is in a few weeks too! :) November girls unite! :)

    xoxo,
    Bren
