The Friendship Cuff

I remember getting my first best friend charm in the third grade. I still remember Cari giving me a shiny gold heart that was broken down the middle, and we each wore our half. Wearing this little symbolic charm was the ultimate high, so much so that I never took the neckalce off. I slept and even showered in it. Today, I am still elated by jewerly with meaning, and am so excited that my favorite local San Francisco jewerly designer Kris Nations (see previous post, here) has created friendship cuffs. Now I can show my love for my friends while wearing a great piece of jewerly. I can't wait to purchase a few of these and share them with my favorite ladies. When was the last time you gave your friend a fabulous and meaningful piece of jewerly?

  1. I actually ordered some for my friend today. My best friend and my brother got together 2 years ago... they are now going through a rough time and she is concerned I will stop being her friend. Never gonna happen and I found something that I feel can explain that I love my brother but I love her too. She's not getting rid of me that easy!

  13. Oh my gosh, Lucia and i used to have those same friendship necklaces with the broken heart. So funny! We loved them. These are much more chic though. I love giving/receiving jewelry with meaning. I went through a phase where I gave all my friends Dogeared necklaces for their birthdays because I love the meaning behind them.

  14. This brings back memories! Not this jewellery itself but yes, I exchanged something with my best friend when we were in elementary school... I think I might have to do a post on it!

  17. My high school bf totally gave me the two hearts split down the middle and he ACTUALLY WORE HIS. It was the sweetest thing.

One of my best friends made me a ring and it got stolen out of my hotel room on my birthday. I feel horrible about it.

I gave my mom a #1 mom pendant once...but I don't know about something for my friends. I have to think on this!
