Movies with Meaning

Sixteen Candles
Made me excited for high school

I am keeping with the theme of yesterday's nostalgic music and am jumping into movies. The weather has turned bitter and cold in Northern California, and days like these can't be wasted. They are perfect for a cup of earl grey and old movies. There is nothing better than laying around in sweat pants, cuddling up on the couch in a cozy blanket and watching a classic movie. This is just another great feeling of nostalgia that I love and catching some R&R in the process is perfect.

Pretty Woman
Made me love Julia Roberts and Rodeo Drive

Dirty Dancing
Made me long for a family summer vacation

Christmas Vacation
Makes me laugh every holiday and inspect our Christmas tree for squirrels

Goonies
Made me crush on boys with inhalers

Fear
Made me feel like a teenager

Top Gun
Made me expect serenades at bars

  13. Marcie! I am so with you in spirit - padding around with earl grey! I loved these films and one thing I always think when it rains and I am tired (err a fair bit in winter when living here!) is that I WISH I could just veg for the day 'lay like brocolli' and watch old films. LOVE the Goonies, Dirty Dancing, all time fave. I just bought a DVD box-set of Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and and Pretty in Pink. I am in an 80's time warp! Lou x
