Food Friday: S'mores

I am not a camper, but I love the traditional camping dessert s'mores. What isn't there to like when you have a toasted marshmallow (preferably charred) and sticks of melted chocolate smashed between two graham crackers? This was a favorite of mine growing up, and it just reclaimed its title as my all time favorite this past weekend. The best part is that I don't have to wait until the next time I go "camping" to indulge in this delight. See the last picture below for how to enjoy s'mores in the comfort of your own home.

No campfire? No problem. Just broil these tasty delights in your oven.

  1. I love a good s'more. My family does an annual vacation cooking them over a bonfire on the beach. I look forward to it every year. I need to make them at more bbq's with friends!

  11. i've made them a couple times in the microwave. put the stack them normally without the top GC and put it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and the marshmallow will get huge. take it out, put the gc on top. YUM!

s'mores will always remind me of being little and setting mine too close to the fire and charring it. haha

  18. We don't do s'mores in Australia, but I remember reading about them in The Babysitter's Club series when I was a kid and wondering what they were! :) I'm a HUGE fan of chocolate and marshmallows, so I'm sure sd'mores and I would hit it off.

    Have a wonderful weekend. x
