Food Friday: Broccoli Cous Cous & Tilapia

When it comes to workweek meals, I have two requirements, healthy and fast. Luckily, Jimmy and I are big fish eaters which is easy and quick to prepare. This week, Jimmy whipped up peppered Tilapia in 20 minutes, and replaced our usual pasta with broccoli cous cous. Together, the meal covered our omega-3 and green requirements while leaving enough time watch the Bachelor Pad finale.

  9. Marcie this looks (and sounds) so incredibly good. It's so hard to come up with quick and healthy meals during the week and I always remember that one time when you said you were proud to have come up with something instead of eating In-N-Out. To this day whenever I find myself leaning in that direction I remember your words and it motivates me to get into the kitchen and work it out!!

Thanks for a great idea here. This is something I would definitely eat and I'm going to pick up some Tilapia at the grocery store this weekend so I'm prepared!

    Have a great weekend,
    Carrie

  14. I never thought of having couscous with fish but you are right it's healthier than rice.
I have a delicious lemon vinagrette recipe for tilapia if you are interested. ( I saw on food network, when I lived in the States and I wrote in in my recipebook).

    Lemon Vinagrette:

    -zest of 1 lemon
    -juice from 1 lemon
    -2 cloves garlic
    -flat parsley
    -salt and pepper
-blend and add olive oil as you blend to consistency.

    pour over your grilled tilapia

    Enjoy

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  17. This looks amazing, Marcie! I want the broccoli couscous recipe! And what did you think of Bachelor Pad?? I was really on the edge of my seat at the end. The producers of that show are geniuses! With the share/keep thing?? Who thinks of these things! I loved it. I was SURE that Natalie was going to pick keep. That was the best reality show I've seen in a long time. And I couldn't believe that Gia and Wes are together now! My friend saw them at the Century City Mall last week holding hands! I personally think she can do better, but then he does have some awesome songwriting skills. Haha.

About the yoga thing, that's so great that you've been doing it at home! I've bought a few dvd's for Gabe that he really likes. They're both power yoga, one with Baron Baptiste and the other is Rodney Yee. With dvd's I always try to go for a power yoga or level 2/3 because otherwise you could wind up with a video on stretching. Let me know how it goes and what you find! Hope you have a great weekend.
