Food Friday: Broccoli Cous Cous & Tilapia

When it comes to workweek meals, I have two requirements, healthy and fast. Luckily, Jimmy and I are big fish eaters which is easy and quick to prepare. This week, Jimmy whipped up peppered Tilapia in 20 minutes, and replaced our usual pasta with broccoli cous cous. Together, the meal covered our omega-3 and green requirements while leaving enough time watch the Bachelor Pad finale.

  1. Delicious looking meal!

  2. I have some Tilapia in my freezer and some cous cous in my cupboard and I think I might just have to make this...yum!

  4. Thanks for your comment :)

The fish looks so good. I'm not a huge seafood eater but I like a good fish. It looks healthy too.

  5. Yum! That looks really good AND healthy! I'm always looking for these kinds of recipes!

  6. i've never been the world's biggest fan of broccoli for some reason :/ this genuinely looks lovely though

  10. Marcie this looks (and sounds) so incredibly good. It's so hard to come up with quick and healthy meals during the week and I always remember that one time when you said you were proud to have come up with something instead of eating In-N-Out. To this day whenever I find myself leaning in that direction I remember your words and it motivates me to get into the kitchen and work it out!!

Thanks for a great idea here. This is something I would definitely eat and I'm going to pick up some Tilapia at the grocery store this weekend so I'm prepared!

    Have a great weekend,

  11. YUM! I just got really hungry and this looks delicious.

  12. I wish my fiance loved fish as much as I do, or any seafood for that matter. Looks delicious!

  13. that meal looks delicious! i hope to visit Northern CA soon, any suggestions on what's a must to do when i'm there?

  14. Looks delicious to me! Enjoy your lovely weekend, Kellie xx

  15. I never thought of having couscous with fish but you are right it's healthier than rice.
I have a delicious lemon vinagrette recipe for tilapia if you are interested. ( I saw on food network, when I lived in the States and I wrote in in my recipebook).

    Lemon Vinagrette:

    -zest of 1 lemon
    -juice from 1 lemon
    -2 cloves garlic
    -flat parsley
    -salt and pepper
-blend and add olive oil as you blend to consistency.

    pour over your grilled tilapia

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  16. can't go wrong with those ingredients!! super yummy looking -- ill have to get my husband to make it, because i'm sure to ruin it!

  17. That kind of looks like my dinner tonight :)
Thanks for your sweet comment and for visiting! I'm following you now... follow me? :)

  18. This looks amazing, Marcie! I want the broccoli couscous recipe! And what did you think of Bachelor Pad?? I was really on the edge of my seat at the end. The producers of that show are geniuses! With the share/keep thing?? Who thinks of these things! I loved it. I was SURE that Natalie was going to pick keep. That was the best reality show I've seen in a long time. And I couldn't believe that Gia and Wes are together now! My friend saw them at the Century City Mall last week holding hands! I personally think she can do better, but then he does have some awesome songwriting skills. Haha.

About the yoga thing, that's so great that you've been doing it at home! I've bought a few dvd's for Gabe that he really likes. They're both power yoga, one with Baron Baptiste and the other is Rodney Yee. With dvd's I always try to go for a power yoga or level 2/3 because otherwise you could wind up with a video on stretching. Let me know how it goes and what you find! Hope you have a great weekend.

  19. YUM! We don't get couscous down here, but lots of quinoa, and I love it! And fish is always wonderful!
    Happy weekend to you!

  20. Too bad I dont eat fish... it looks so good! :)

  21. This looks great! Much healthier than the bacon and eggs I had for breakfast :/

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
