Change is in the Air

We can learn a lot about changing seasons. Kids head off to school, the weather turns brisk and coats come out of hibernation. All this forces the realization that nothing stays constant for very long. While some change is optional, other changes are necessary. Some change is easy and some is excruciatingly hard. But one thing remains consistent, change is inevitable.

How do you handle change? I've recently talked to a lot of individuals that constantly talk about changing who they are and whether or not this is possible. I am torn on this issue. I do believe that we are who we fundamental are, and expecting someone or something to change is impossible. But on the other hand, if you really want something, can you make a change? Can you re-work some of who you are for the better?

  1. I think we all are able to make some small changes that will ad up to something significant....Season changes always makes me thing about that too:)
Hope you are having a lovely week so far, my dear

Ps: I am hosting a sweet GIVEAWAY today :) Hope you will join in :)!!!

  2. I agree with Diana! I think it was along the lines of what I was going to say. Although I do think there are some deep personality things relating to how we grew up that are pretty solid. Then again...I have no clue! haha....
hope you are doing well, lady :)

  3. I believe that change is most definitely possible... but that often times, it requires a lot of time and patience.

  4. oh it is indeed... i usually welcome change but sometimes, specially when i am so utterly happy with the present, I find it hard to do so with open arms. I just tell my self that everything happens for a (better) reason and this is no exception.

  5. I believe that there are certain things we can change, but only if we want to do it for ourselves. I also feel like the older we get, the more difficult it is to change ourselves. What a great post, Marcie. I've never been good at embracing big changes. I'm a very habitual person and I like my routines. That's something I should work on. ;)

  6. Change is really hard. I think, like most everyone has said, you can make small changes that sometimes leave huge impacts. But if you're afraid of change how will you know if you're missing out on something?

  7. I believe we can change most things about us with work and awareness. I'm not great with change but love it at the same time. I know that makes no sense. :) love the fall leaves, we don't see much of that in So Cal!

  8. Oh, I'm terrible with change. I get so upset; it's ridiculous. Meg Ryan said in You've Got Mail: "People are always saying change is a good thing. But all they're really saying is that something that you didn't want to happen at all has happened." I clearly need to change my outlook, because some changes can be great -- it just takes me awhile to get used to them!

  9. Change is possible - difficult, but possible. And I'm not good with it!

  10. Im with Diana..small changes can result in a bigger change..just at a pace that I can handle better...:)

    Great post!!

    Have a Fabulous day!

  11. I couldn't agree more. Beautiful photo by the way. Enjoy a lovely day, Kellie xx

  12. I think you can change, but I think it's hard and it takes effort. You have to really want it. I read somewhere that it takes 30 days of doing something repetitively for it to become habit. So imagine turning a bad habit into a good one by repeatedly breaking it 30 days in a row - not an easy thing by any means.

  13. Gorgeous. I love it when the leaves change. I usually do well with change... I yearn for it most of the time.

p.s. be sure to check out my Lil Petite Jewelry giveaway when you get the chance love ;)

  14. changing really is a hard thing to do, but if it's for the better and if we really put our mind to it, it can be done. yay for fall! :D

  15. Hi Marcie. I am proud to say that whenever I feel like I need to change something, I really do it. And I have done so several times in my life. I believe it is necessary to embrace change and do it because you want to. It's the opposite here Down Under though, summer will be coming soon. Winter will be out! Hehehe.
