Pinkberry Love

I have always preferred ice cream to frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt tastes artificial so I drown it with a million candied toppings. This, however, changed over the weekend when Pinkberry entered my life. Know for their swirly goodness, this yogurt isn't your average frozen yogurt shop quality. They only have a few flavors, and each one is fresh, tart and delicious all by itself. And if you prefer to add toppings, there are many fresh cut fruits, rich chocolates, and even cucumbers to indulge. I loved the texture and flavor of the chocolate and pomegranate so I ate it plain, while Jimmy opted for pomegranate and fresh cucumbers and melon. We went twice this weekend, and I can't wait until the new location opens up in my neighborhood. Something tells me I will become a known customer.

What is your favorite dessert?

Pomegranate and Chocolate Cone

Fresh Fruit & Cucumber toppings

Pomegranate and melons

  12. Yum! I love soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt, esp with strawberries on top.
When I get regular dipped ice cream, i work it with my spoon until it's softened!
One of my fave desserts is hot apple pie or peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on the side. When the dough is flaky and slightly browned, I'm in heaven!!

  16. Oooh, those flavors sound delicious and fresh! I've only been to pinkberry once when it first opened and I have to say I wasn't crazy about it. They only had two flavors and a very long line. But now that they have more flavors and smaller lines, I'll have to go try it again. Hope you had a great weekend!

Now I'm craving it for lunch! hah!

  18. I've never had Pinkberry, which is one of the greater problems in my life. I have a major love of both ice cream and frozen yogurt, though -- Freeziac is basically my favorite place on earth.

  24. I couldn't agree with you more... definately prefer ice cream over yogurt! But don't get me wrong, I've had my fair share of vanilla yogurt topped with tons of crumbled peanut butter cups.... YUMMMMM!!

  25. I looove frozen yogurt - but only if the shop carrying it has super fresh fruit toppings. Some of the places in OR haven't been really stepping up to the plate well!

  28. mmmkay?!?!?!? THANK YOU!!! I cannot even begin to fathom why people love yogurtland when they can have pinkberry! I'm entirely addicted. Did you try the mango/regular swirl? Did you put the little chocolate balls on top? How about the nougat? Prepare for greatness Marcie...it's a whole new world. Pinkberry is the new black!!
