Food Friday: Apricot Jam

I've always loved apricots, but I never thought of using them for jam until I made it last weekend. I went to the family farm and made jam with my auntie, and it was such a sweet (both figuratively and literally) and exciting experience. Making jam is not as hard as I expected, and the sugary sweet aroma of simmering apricots is just amazing. It was a great day filled with family, fresh fruit, and fun. Here is to sweet toast in the morning!

Which type of jam is your favorite?

Check out Alison at a pair of aviators. She made my tomato, basil and mozzarella.

**Email me if you try making jam. I'd love to hear what you think**

  4. I just visited the farm with your brother. While at the family farm, I spent some time with your auntie and she gave me a jar of the famous apricot jam. Looking forward to trying it when I get home!

  5. yum! isn't that simmering apricot smell the best? we had success with a 75-25 apricot-plum blend this year, but i think plain apricot jam will always be my favorite.

  6. I can totally smell the apricots, as I just applied Philosophy's Apricot body lotion before reading your post! LOL! I've never made jam, but have always wanted to. Something about those Ball jars, filled with fruity goodness! Mmmmm! Making jam makes me think of my Grandmother. Maybe one day I'll make a batch myself. I guess I'd also have to make homemade biscuits too! What could be better? :D
