Edge of the World



There are no edges to a sphere; therefore, the earth has no true end. If it did, however, this is what I imagine it would look like. Standing on this cliff and peering down at the rugged and lush valley below was a remarkable experience. I was above the clouds admiring the vivid colors of turquoise, red and emerald. For some reason this scenery reminded me of a magical and whimsical place where dogs fly, time never ends, (see, The Neverending Story) and witches rule the world (see, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe). Isn't the imagination a wonderful thing?!


The cliff dropped straight down over this sand ledge.



Above the clouds.


The earth was bright red in certain places . . .


and green in others.


Damp fog rolled in and out all morning, creating a peaceful scene.

  9. Those images are amazing! Thanks for sharing. As for the end of the world drop-off, I would have believed it way back then, before they figured out the world is round. Gravity is still the weirdest thing to me. :)

  19. Marcie, these pictures are amazing! We didn't hike up to any great places, but we did take the helicopter tour the first time we went and it was awesome. But this looks way better! Next time we'll have to get it together and do some hiking. ;)
