Food Friday: The Sweetest Thing - Lemonade

After my trip to the laundromat (here), I had 10 lemons that I just had to use, and quick. This was a first for me, and I can't believe how delicious the lemonade turned out. I took 10 lemons, squeezed out 1 1/2 cups of juice, boiled 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar until it liquefied, then mixed the lemon juice and sugar with 2 cups of cold water. This is the sweetest thing I've ever tasted.

Slice in half

Juice

Boil sugar . . .

Combine liquid sugar with lemon juice and enjoy!

  16. Wish I could enjoy lemonade--my body reacts weird to citric acids--but I love lemons for color and smell. I have them all over the apt.

  32. I've been obsessed with lemonade lately and just made a batch last week. I also added slices of cucumber and some fresh mint. Soooo good! I was inspired by a local cafe, aptly named "lemonade." They make about six different types of lemonade each day like: blueberry mint, cucumber, watermelon-thyme, and ginger-peach. Of course they also make the traditional version too. :)
