My auntie is the baker of the family, and last week I made her cupcakes from scratch. I love this recipe because it is so easy. The cupcakes take about 10 minutes to prepare and 25 minutes to bake. The frosting is literally powdered sugar, butter, milk and vanilla. If I follow the recipe exactly, I get moist and delicious cupcakes every time.
Mix 2 cups flour and sugar, 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, salt, and vanilla, 3/4 cup 1 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, and 1 cup of boiling hot water (add slowly toward end of mixing), and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
I love the color of my mix master.

1 second it's powdered sugar . . .
Add 1/2 cube butter, vanilla, and 1/4 cup milk and it's frosting!
These look so yummy and are making me miss baking, I can't wait until I finally get the time to bake again!:D
