Home Style: Something Blue

My two favorite spaces in a home are the sitting room and outdoor spaces. This weekend I dropped my nephews off at a birthday party and was in awe of the home. The sitting room and outdoor space was truly remarkable. I felt like I was standing in the middle of a magazine shoot! But no, it was real, and I was there. The owner has done all the decorating herself, and she has impeccable taste. The attention to detail is flawless, and both spaces are warm and inviting. The formal sitting room is decorated in all white with light touches of pale blue, creating a soft and serene feel. I wanted to wrap up on the velvety couch and read a book. The outside space is equally elegant and comfortable. I can only imagine how fun it is to have a summer party in the backyard. Enjoy the images!

  11. Gorgeous! We have what is probably the world's smallest patio, but it has a table and 2 chairs and we strung some lights up around it and basically it makes me happier than any place in our house :)

  18. This is so gorge! My Dad has a short wall in his back yard just like that one. He's been trying to figure out something to do with it, and I'm going to show him these images! That lattice/vine would be the perfect camoflauge for an otherwise boring and unsightly wall!
