Food Friday : Pappardelle Pasta
Yes, I am doing a pasta post back to back. The reality is, pasta is so easy to make that my husband and I eat it a lot. I have to start by saying that he made this dish, so I can't take any credit for it. The best way to describe this pasta is "lemon light" (yes, I made that up). There isn't a ton of pasta that comes in this particular Trader Joe's package, so I am never too full. What I love about this pasta is the the fresh lemon taste. For extra flavor we also add a few squeezes of lemon, garlic powder, pepper and parmesan cheese. And that is it; in 10 minutes you have a complete meal. I also like adding fresh vegetables like spinach (shocker I know) to this dish.
We love red wine, and for our anniversary we enjoyed a bottle by the Hess Collection winery. This wine was a first for us, and we loved it. I had to post a picture of the miniature Guinness glass my husband insists drinking his wine from.
Lastly, we've had fresh watermelon all week. No chocolate bar or cupcake comes close to a sweet slice of watermelon. It is funny because the other name I was considering for this blog was "chocolate watermelon."
